COMMUNE Studios is Newtown's premier Photography, Film and Event hire space. Just off King Street, the Studios are located within the iconic Lips building.
Take advantage of COMMUNE Studios’s full egg cyclorama infinity wall. Great for vehicle shoots, music videos and other mid to large sized projects. The impressive photography studio is one of the biggest full egg cyclorama within Sydney’s Inner West and one of the few with drive in access for car shoots. It is a dynamic space that offers a blank canvas for professional photographers and filmmakers alike. The full capacity cyclorama photography studio is designed to make things as straight forward as possible, with everything readily accessible. The hassles of studio accessibility for set up or parking are taken care of by the warehouse’s large loading bay and free all-day parking.
We can handle any equipment hire needs, with delivery arranged early the morning of your shoot and picked up after you leave. Just let us know what you need and we can shoot you a quote.

8am - 12 noon or 1pm - 5pm
$450 + GST
Extra hours charged $100 + GST.
Full Day
8am - 5pm
$800 + GST
Extra hours charged $100 + GST.
Hourly Rate
$200 + GST

All bookings attract a $500 security bond to cover repaint, cleaning or damage. Refunded if not needed.
Repaint & clean charge (if necessary) = $250
3 Phase Power = $10 per hour
Standard power = $10 per half day

EQUIPMENT HIRE
We can provide discounted lighting, grip & camera equipment hire upon request. Please email us for a quote and we will have it delivered and picked up on the day of your shoot.
We can also provide AV (projectors, speakers, staging), seating and any other hire needs.
ONSITE & FREE PARKING
We have secure undercover parking for 3 cars as well as free all day parking on the surrounding streets outside. Great for unloading equipment from vans or secure parking for client/talent's cars.
